French Bulldog Vaccinations and Preventative Care: What Our Breeders Provide

When you choose a French Bulldog from our trusted network of vet-approved breeders, you’re not just choosing a puppy—you’re choosing a puppy that’s been raised with the highest standards of health and care.

Every breeder in our program is required to follow a strict preventative care plan, including vaccinations and deworming. These health protocols are critical to giving your puppy a strong, healthy start before they ever leave the breeder’s care.

In this article, we’ll explain the core vaccine and deworming requirements, what to expect in your puppy’s health records, and how we ensure transparency every step of the way.

💉 Required Vaccination Schedule for French Bulldog Puppies

All breeders in our program must provide a submitted vaccination schedule, but we require a minimum base schedule to be followed. This ensures that every French Bulldog puppy has received essential vaccines to protect against life-threatening diseases before going home.

✅ Required Base Vaccinations:
    •    Parvovirus (core vaccines)
    •    First dose: 8 weeks old
    •    Booster: 12 weeks old
    •    Final booster: 16 weeks old

Some breeders may also include additional vaccines such as:

  • Distemper
  •  Parainfluenza
  • Bordetella (kennel cough)
  • Adenovirus (hepatitis)
  • Leptospirosis (if regionally appropriate)

🩺 Note: Vaccine types may vary slightly between breeders based on their veterinarian’s recommendations, but all must meet the minimum required schedule above.

🐛 Deworming: Starting at 4 Weeks Old

Intestinal parasites are common in young puppies, which is why regular deworming is a requirement for every breeder in our network.

🔄 Required Deworming Schedule:
    •    Starts at 4 weeks old
    •    Continued every two weeks thereafter (e.g., 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16 weeks)

Most breeders use a rotating dewormer protocol that includes:
    •    Pyrantel Pamoate
    •    Fenbendazole
    •    Toltrazuril or Ponazuril (for coccidia, if needed)

This consistent schedule ensures your puppy is protected from:
    •    Roundworms
    •    Hookworms
    •    Whipworms
    •    Giardia
    •    Coccidia

📋 Health Records Provided to Buyers

Transparency is one of our core values. That’s why every breeder is required to provide detailed health documentation, including:
    •    📅 A complete vaccination schedule with dates and product names
    •    💊 A full deworming record with dates and medications used
    •    📜 USDA-certified health certificate and negative fecal test

These records are included in your puppy packet and reviewed with you before pickup or delivery.

🐾 Example Puppy Preventative Care Schedule

Here’s what a typical French Bulldog puppy’s preventative care schedule might look like:

6    —    Fenbendazole
8    Distemper + Parvo (DAPP)    Pyrantel Pamoate

Some breeders may also include Bordetella or Lepto, depending on vet guidance.

🏥 Why Preventative Care Matters

Early vaccinations and parasite control are essential for your puppy’s development. Not only do they prevent serious illness, but they also protect you, your family, and any other pets in your home.

We ensure that every puppy in our program is protected long before they reach your arms.

✅ Choosing a Breeder You Can Trust

When you adopt a French Bulldog from one of our breeders, you’re getting more than a puppy—you’re getting the peace of mind that your dog has been:
    •    🩺 Vet-checked and vaccinated
    •    🐛 Dewormed on schedule
    •    💉 Prepared for continued care with your veterinarian

We set these requirements because we love the breed—and we know our pup parents do too.
